First Steps

This is where the mission was born. My journey started with an admiration for the delicate beauty of old tablecloths and linen sheets found in Italian markets, which sparked my imagination and dream of creating my own clothing line. Drawing inspiration from cottagecore aesthetics and the natural surroundings of Edinburgh, I carefully drafted, designed, and brought to life the first few pieces of By Ely Atelier.

These pieces were my dream made tangible: simple, elegant, and timeless. The first photos were taken in my back garden and green-painted hallway, where the lush greenery enhanced the purity of the white linens and captured the essence of the cottagecore spirit I sought to evoke. It was a dream come true. A love letter to sustainability, creativity, and the beauty of repurposed materials.
